Our mission

To help every farmer know what to do on their farm, when to do it and how to do it well.

About us

Farmers do not lack information. They lack the right guidance at the right time.

Advice reaches farmers in pieces, from agro-dealers, radio and neighbours, and it rarely fits their own farm. There are not enough advisors to visit every farmer, and a missed vaccination or a disease caught late can cost a family most of what they invested.

iFarm turns validated, stage-by-stage farming guides into a personal plan for each farm, and keeps experts in the loop for anything that goes beyond routine advice.

What makes iFarm different

  • Complete
  • Personal
  • Easy to reach
  • Safe by design

Why iFarm

Guidance for the whole cycle, not one-off tips

From choosing inputs and planning production to preventing disease, harvesting and selling, iFarm walks with the farmer through every stage.

See how it works
  • A daily task list

Feeding, vaccination and application windows, turned into a short checklist for today.

  • Reminders and alerts

Notice before every critical date, and an alert when something is missed.

  • A digital farm record

What was done, used and produced, kept as a history the farmer can show.

  • Experts when it matters

Anything outside routine advice goes to a qualified vet or agronomist.

How it works

How iFarm works

Four steps, from enrolment to results you can report.

  1. 1

    Partners enrol farmers

Your field team registers farmers and the farms they run.

  2. 2

    Each farm gets a plan

The guide adapts to the enterprise, location, size and stage.

  3. 3

    Farmers act and record

They follow today's tasks and log what was actually done.

  4. 4

    You track the results

Progress, adherence and risks, across your whole cohort.

Value chains

One approach, for every kind of farm

We started with poultry. Every other crop and animal follows, one validated guide at a time.

  • Poultry

Broilers today, egg layers next: day-by-day feeding, water, brooding temperature and vaccination.

    Available now

  • Mushrooms

Substrate preparation, spawning, humidity and harvest timing for oyster mushroom growers.

    Coming next

  • Food crops

Maize, beans, Irish potatoes, cassava, rice and other staples: planting dates, fertiliser windows, pest scouting and post-harvest handling.

    Coming next

  • Fruit, vegetables and cash crops

Bananas, vegetables, fruit, coffee, tea and more: stage-based care, input timing and quality standards for market and export.

    Coming next

  • Livestock

Dairy and beef cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and more: feeding by stage, breeding, deworming and vaccination calendars, and production records.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The short answers. Ask us anything else.

How much does iFarm cost a farmer?

Farmers enrolled by an organisation that supports them use iFarm for free. Farmers can also use it on their own for a small fee, and that pricing will be announced soon.

Does it work without a smartphone?

Yes. The essential guidance works on any basic phone through USSD. The app adds photos, notifications and richer records for those who have a smartphone.

Which languages are supported?

Kinyarwanda first, with French and English.

Is the advice generated by AI?

The advice comes from guides validated by agronomists and vets. AI adapts that guidance to each farm, and anything high-stakes, such as dosing, is checked by a qualified expert.

Which farming types are covered today?

Poultry is available now, starting with broilers. Egg layers, mushrooms and key crops come next, followed by livestock, one validated guide at a time.

How does a pilot work?

We start small with one partner, one or two districts and one value chain, co-design the content with your team, and measure adoption and results together before scaling.
